Let There be Light

This is what you want on your holiday table. A gorgeous candle holder crafted by local woodsman Greg Ranallo, holding maple and cedar Stick Candles. Makes me cozy just thinking about it.

The Charlotte Baker

The Charlotte Baker will be in the shop on Friday afternoons from 3 to 5:30, offering demi-baguettes, ciabatta, farmhouse sourdough loaves and a savory quick bread. What a yummy way to start the weekend!

Tata Harper Skincare

Tata Harper, whose luscious skincare products we carry, is featured in this month’s issue of Vogue.

Using minimal packaging and high-quality ingredients, Tata has created a truly luxurious skin care experience for women. With some of the ingredients coming right from her farm in Middlebury, and a crew creating the creams and oils by hand in small batches each month, you simply cannot get a fresher product for your gorgeous skin.

Boil, boil, toil and…

There is gorgeous new pottery in the shop now by artist Marion Waldo McChesney.
Shouldn’t every trick-or-treater reach into a beautiful black bowl this Hallows-Eve?

On a Day Like Today

What you want is a stack of warm molasses sugar cookies and a cozy felted pillow from Wolly Mamma. We just can’t get over the adorableness of these creations. It’s impossible not to want more than one!

Bella Notte

We had such a fun time in the shop last night with the gals from Bella Buckles and their enchanting wares. Lots of brave, beautiful women came out on a chilly October night, but it seems that Polly Simpkins, proprietress of our favorite Charlotte Berry Farm left with the best treasure–a Hadley Murphy necklace and a soft leather tote full of…Charlotte Baker breads and (hopefully) wine…?

Smart woman, that Polly.

Maybe I Think You’re Cute and Funny

The beautiful, red-headed, talented and seriously funny Ingrid Michaelson performed at Higher Ground last night in Burlington, and looky-loo, she and Lu spent some time together before the show talking t-shirts.

Luna Moth Designs

Beautiful Eleanore Hayes of LunaMoth Designs, whose jewelry graces our shelves, got married recently in southern Vermont.

Look at that necklace! Wow.

Bella Buckles Trunk Show

Join us at Abel & Lovely for a groovy October evening. Joanne Palmisano and Tina Noel of Bella Buckles are stopping by with a truckload of vintage cowgirl goodies: boots, suede and leather jackets, and of course, their gorgeous handcrafted belt buckles. Thursday, October 14 from 6 to 9 pm.
